Abstract (Translated):
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the prospects for multilateralism in contemporary international relations and its implications for Brazilian foreign policy. In particular, it suggests that the current trend towards selective multilateralism, expressed in groupings such as the G-20, presents considerable challenges to Brazil's multilateral diplomacy.
