Zusammenfassung (übersetzt):
This study presents the levels of Knowledge management maturity of 73 organizations, 66 of which are Brazilian public organizations from the federal government. Moreover, the paper highlights the main strong and weak points identified in those organizations for KM success and it points out actions to be taken for KM institutionalization. The Knowledge Management Maturity Model (KMMM) built by Batista for the Brazilian public administration is used with small changes in the assessment conducted in organizations (Batista, 2012). This KMMM is entitled Instrument for Knowledge Management Assessment in the Brazilian Public Administration and is made of seven criteria (KM leadership, process, people, technology, knowledge processes, learning and innovation; and KM results); 42 statements and five levels of maturity: reaction, beginning, introduction (expansion), refinement and maturity in Likert scale with seven options. Based on the study's results, actions are prescribed in each one of the seven criteria used to assess the level of KM maturity. The originality of this study is due to the fact this is the first KM maturity assessment conducted in public organizations at the federal level in Brazil. The actions prescribed for KM institutionalization is also a very significant contribution for organizations interested in integrate KM into their management model.
