Zusammenfassung (übersetzt):
The study uses the findings of the ad-hoc module looking into the working and living situation of migrants within the employment survey of the second quarter of 2008 to provide an overview of the labour market situation in Austria faced by first- and second-generation migrants and those born abroad. It found significant differences between the first and second generations, between men and women, between people who originally immigrated as asylum-seekers and other groups, and between persons born abroad whose formal qualifications were recognised in Austria and those who failed to obtain such recognition. The conclusions discuss the research issues to be derived from these results.
