Zusammenfassung (übersetzt):
Agriculture modernization provides many sector benefits, such as increasing productivity, reducing production costs and increasing product quality and, thus, an intensive change in worker's activities. In this sense, the social, economic and demographic impacts of this change have been discussed intensively in the literature. In this sense, the paper objective is to analyse the formal labour market in agriculture and the respective impact of agricultural modernization. The data used were collected from the agricultural census of 2017 and from the Annual Social Information Report (RAIS). The method used was that of ordinary least squares (OLS) and the instrumental variable model (IV). The results indicate that the increase in the number of machines and equipment is positively associated with the number of formal jobs, total occupations and income in agriculture, as well as a positive association between schooling, number of formal ties and income. The formal labour market in agriculture is a relevant area of study in agriculture in Brazil because it is a topic with a small approach in the literature and affects millions of workers who work in the informality in the country.
