Abstract:
Abstract (Translated):
Environmental-economic accounts are a methodological framework used to represent the interaction between the environment and society. Data on material and energy flows, natural capital and environmental protection are processed in a coherent system of accounts that enables individual variables to be examined in a wider context. The article presents the goals, history and current developments of environmental-economic accounts and shows that this is a good example of the Federal Statistical Office's data strategy.
